tS6.6 Generates Errors Then Crashes 2003-12-10 - By Jason Lechak
Back Hi John. Sounds like 768 would be sufficient. What I meant was, try setting it higher, to see if the crashing stops. Then, if a higher setting worked, consider lowering the virtual memory, because a higher virtual memory setting means less space for apps and data. But if you have it set to 768 MB, that should be high enough to rule out the virtual memory issue. But, do check that the min and max are both set to 768 MB. If the min is set to, say, 10 MB, and the max is 768, that may cause a problem. Check that both are set to 768 MB.
Couple other thoughts:
I have not checked opengl settings in truespace in awhile, but in the opengl settings, see that opengl32.dll is selected, not opengl.dll. Mine is set to opengl32.dll, with no crashes. Also, maybe consider deleting that Caligari config file. It will be recreated by truespace. See if there are any process hogs running on your system at the same time you have truespace running. It's possible that a mission critical application is competing for resources with truespace. If so, maybe you can kill that other app (what could possibly be more important than running truespace? :-D )
I hope that helps.
