tS6.6 Generates Errors Then Crashes 2003-12-10 - By John Gaubatz
Back Hi Jason, I have my virtual memory set to 768MB here at work. I am trying to figure out if lowering the virtual memory causes windows to utilize more of the ram or if it has no effect. I can't remember why the virtual memory is set so high, but I will consider lowering it to see if that is contributing to the problem. I will also check what my settings are at home. I do know that I have 256M of ram at home. I was considering upgrading the ram to 512M or 1 gig if it didn't cost too much.

What are your virtual memory settings at work, and at home? At work, try setting min and max to something like 512 MB. I know that sounds like a lot, but start there, and if the crashing stops, then try cutting both to 256, and repeat. Basically, try to find the minimum possible virtual memory settings that will stop the crashing. I had crashes quite a bit as well, until I set my virtual memory to 512. I was too lazy to try smaller numbers, but smaller may be okay too.
