Dave,

The AVI Compression dialog that appears after clicking the Render button
lists all the available codecs in a drop down list - to do this trueSpace
has to enumerate all the installed codecs and get their descriptions to
populate that list - this in turn means that a faulty codec installation
could indeed be causing the problem you are having; i.e. you click the
Render button, trueSpace tries to build the list of available codecs so it
can display the next dialog (AVI Compression) but comes across a bad codec
and crashes with the error you are seeing.
