Back Jason, Thanks....but the error occurs before I get to that dialogue box. Codec selection occurs after you hit the "Render" button in the "Render to File" dialogue box. The error occurs before that dialogue box appears. This is what makes me think it is not related to any codec but some issue with tS itself. Thanks, Dave Angelini

Hi Dave. The only thing I can suggest is try another avi compressor. Also look at the compressor options, such as keyframing. Maybe one of the compressor executables is corrupted.

Regardless of what is in the scene or what plugins I am using in tS6.6, whenever I want to render an avi file, I always get this error: "Runtime error 226 at 00004F7D" This error occurs right after I hit the "Render" button in the "Render to File" dialogue box. It occurs with at all resolutions (even the default ones listed in the drop down box). Motion blur, audio parameters, and field rendering are off. This only occurs when I render to an avi file. I can render an animation to a sequence of jpg or bmp files without error. Any help? Thanks, Dave Angelini
