Hi Dave,

It's a WYSIWYG situation.  No masking would occur, only the faithful
reproduction of the avi images on the plane in TGA format. I presume that
this would be converted because the tutorial calls for TGA's? Anyway, You
would have to batch generate maps (run an appropriate script) in PS or PSP 8
to solve that problem, but converting to (unmasked) TGAs would be necessary
first. Anyway, GIF animations are the only ones I know that have transparent
backgrounds, so assuming the original AVI doesn't have transparency, I would
be masked in tS in the usual way.  If it is a tS project in the end, the
masking , of course, would be handled in tS.
