Back Hey Cobus. I am here, lurking about. I spent 6 months on my project, mostly nights and weekends. The first 4.5 were for character development and prop modeling. I spent the last week of July and the entire month of August rendering on a 3 GHz P4 with 512 MB or RAM. I also modeled and setup as needed on my other 733 MHz P3. I even had a laptop at work the final month which I used to model during my lunch hour.
It was one of those projects where I crammed 3 months of work into 1 month. My deadline for the rendering portion ended up being August 27th as our 3rd child was born on the 28th. Then after 3 days in the hospital, I spent the last week up to the 23rd hour mixing sound and other sorted final editing.
I have to give Scott of Primitive Itch credit for helping me with a major problem involving MS. My truck model loaded with characters was so complex that it was giving MS fits. But Scott turned around a fix in like a day which really saved me.
I would love to talk more about this but my kids are demanding my attention at the moment.
Thanks to all,
Spencer
