Cannot start up XSI Foundations anymore, odd license error, reinstall does not h

I am having a huge problem here.

I had downloaded the XSI Foundations 4.2 trial. I was using it for
three days straight and two days ago the program crashed. So I went to
start it up again to continue with what I was working on and after
clicking the shortcut to start up xsi I immediately got this little
popup saying;

Error: there is no interactive license available to run XSI

I first tried to restart my computer; no change
Then uninstalling and reinstalling; no change
Then uninstalling and removing all registery keys related to xsi and a
re-install on a different drive; no change
Then the same as above and making sure that any files related to the
application were deleted of my harddrive; no change

So I haven't been able to use XSI for more than 2 days now.

I also don't have something like zonealarm (someone with the same
problem fixed it by turning off script blocking in his virus
protection software, but I do not have any virusscanner installed) and
I do have a basic firewall but it's configured well and when I shut it
down for a minute the problem remained.

It's also weird that before the crash I was able to start up 4.2 and
after the crash I wasn't

Here is a link to a thread on xsibase about it;

A few people with the same problem but no real solutions

Please help

Thanks
