If you like those shaders, you should check out http://www.shaderworks.com/

Produces standard DX9 shaders that can be used by any DX9 compatible 3D
engine (some of those in the virtools demo have probably been made with it).

The amount of code needed to paste a DX9 shader into a C# app is pretty
small, too.

Also be sure to check out a demo of the HDR and IBL lightning available
through DX9:
