Back if you get position of particles and from there you can define easy if they are inside the bounding box of your cube. But instead of mess of it, the thing is to emit particles from surface made from circle and either scale curve or surface and emit particles from there. If you still need to do what you explained you need to do, and this is not enough let me know.

> Hi, I have a little problem that I am trying to get a handle on, bascially I need to set something up that will alow me to emit particles based on the intersection of two objects. I would also like to know if its actually possible to also emit along the intersection line. (i.e. a small ball flying into and through a large box, as the ball passes into the box particles are emitted first from a point then from a grawing and shrinking ring as the ball passes through the surface ..... just curious if this is possible either with the standard tools, with MEL or would I need to goto the SDK. > cheers gary. > > PS: I would just like to say a big thank you to all the kind folks that have helped me out with tips and tricks over the last 6 months, my Maya work / understanding has moved on by leaps and bounds and i`m very much indetted to everyone one on the list .... thank you all. >
