COMPAQ Laptop Crash: Any Clues?

Hi All,
My cd rom game is running well on other Windows machines including other
laptops but I am getting a consistent crash when my projector is in its
loading frames. (These frames use loadfile lingo to load the w3d files
used in the game from the same folder.)

Game has been copied to the desktop from the cd rom. (so not a cd rom
drive issue). Here is profile of the machine:
COMPAQ intel celeron processor, 2.6 ghz, video: ATI Mobility RADEON 4X
AGP and 3D graphics with 64 mb DDR shared video memory
