No. I've heard that dot syntax is a bit faster than javascript.
I believe verbose syntax used to be slightly faster than dot syntax in
previous versions, but since this is about to be decrepated, I wonder about
the current situation. I've also heard of someone's old project running
slightly faster when compiled under the new version...
Note that I haven't yet downloaded the new demo version yet so this is all
hearsay.
