Well, the JavaScript stuff will instead slow things - the JS engine has
not been re-invented and thus doesn't really fit that well into
Director. Anyway, the developers already said that it isn't as speedy as
Lingo. But you can decide whether to use Lingo or JS for every single
script.
The _*-syntax obviously comes from Flash and - at least to me - will
make the code a bit more understandable.
