Back FYI, the moviePath has been deprecated. ;-) It is there for backwards capability... And from what someone mentioned yesterday it has actually been deprecated since 8.5 I believe... ;-)
A way to access it now would be: _movie.path
As far as the _player and _movie stuff, there is _system and there have been some other interesting changes...
Overall once you get used to it (in Lingo) that is it flows quite nicely and is consistent with how other languages approach it.
In regards to JS Syntax, there is some nice string and array manipulation stuff in there as well...
