another thought regarding dual layouts

another thought regarding dual layouts

2004-08-12       - By Michael Klein, President of Virtual Republic

I started XSI with -p3 binaries (modifiying setenv.bat). Interesting: the
Standard and Views and Shelves layout appears but with empty views.
XSI doesn't crash but it's frozen (so I have to kill the process).

that does suck. i don't have SP2 on my system and after your problems I am
not likely to install it.

Thanks Bob :-)

I also disabled with Startup the responsible Nview Deamon.
So now menus anymore ... just the pure driver.
Also used all possible Dual Settings (span, split etc.).

XSI dies ... this sucks ... I mean: installing SP2 was a mistake, probably.
But I have a backup of C:\ with the former XP before SP2.

So I will hack a while and if there's no solution I copy back the old XP
(which also sucks).

:-(

also out of curiosity when you look at your display properties (right
clicking anywhere on the desktop) and go under settings. are you seeing one
big
rectangular screen or two black squares?
