btw, I have been wondering recently the benefits of collapsing to an
editable poly vs. editable mesh. I always use editable mesh since it gives a
more instant representation of polygon count than editable poly does. But
clearly editable poly has its advantages, since it's in there.

what is editable poly helpful for?
