Are these what you would call 'in -game performance' issues?
-collision detection failure (can slip through walls on occasion,
usually when a lot is going on in the camera view)
-sound stutters (rapid interruptions) at times
-when encountering a particle system for the first time, user's forward
movement halts for an instant

These only happen when running the game from the cd rom. (When running
from the cd I get about the same fps as when running from the desktop,
though) Except for when encountering the particle system, none of the
above events calls for an external file from the cd rom. (All content is
in the internal casts of the projector.)

So I guess I am asking what would cause these problems only when playing
from the cd rom? Is it the speed of the cd rom drive? (It says "8x4x32x
max speed"). Is it just cause I am burning it myself in my g4 ...and a
commercially replicated cd wouldn't have those issues?

Thanks,
Paul
