I just came across a serious roadblock with particle Emission.  I am using
an animated gradient on a grid and wanted to use this gradient to control
the emission rathe from the grid.  I then realised that only image files can
be used in this regard.

Anyone though of a workaround?  Other than rendermapping hte seuqeunce that
it?
