It's nippy on my 450 MHz G4, but then there's no antialiasing. Have you tried what Christophe said about setting the board to do antialiasing? I guess though that to do a fair test you would have to turn off antialiasing attempts that are in Lingo.

I actually saw the piece at the Tate in Liverpool. It's about ten feet wide, and is more bronze color than this grayscale image would suggest!
