I have Plasma and 3ds Max 5. Max 5 exports to Director fine; I would be
surprised if you couldn't use the current exporter in 6, but I may be wrong
based on your post.
I don't really like Plasma due to lack of features. Also, the .swf exporting is
practically useless to me. The .swf files generated are huge...too big for most
projects except real art intensive ones where people don't mind long downloads.
Plus it comes out very toon shaded.
To me, Max was worth it for the character studio, but that's just my workflow.
I like using motion capture with biped when I can, and it saves work.
Let me know ASAP please if the Max exporters do NOT work with Shockwave. I just
got finished deciding to upgrade to Max 6 but I may reconsider it if my Max
exporter will not work with it. I think I'm actually using the 4 exporter for
my version 5 of Max.
