Image compare - FX Tree

Image compare - FX Tree

Hello Dan, hope your well mate.

About the image compare it's just the workflow. I'm checking animal head
replacements against the live plate.

If you compare using the A/B control and splitter bar in Shake to the constant
updating, clicking view on nodes to set the correct image etc etc it drives me
nuts. As it happens it drives me nuts. Did I say it drives me nuts? ;-)

It may well be the same as Illusion, however, in FX Tree it's a new
implementation and to put it in without thinking about how it actually works
makes no sense to me. I can't be the onIy person who works with *moving* images
in the FX Tree ;-). And if you compare the workflows for comparing it could use
a *teensy* bit of finesse. I'm well prepared for the 'limited resources',
'finite time', 'priorities' blah blah etc etc but I couldn't care less right now
. There are only so many times you can hear that without wanting to kill people
when you're working in a particular area that didn't warrant 'priority'.

I ended up doing it Shake.

Rant over ;-)

 Hiya Rob,

It's exactly the same as the old Media Illusion one, it works ok for me... :/

I'd like to have the same thing in the render region though... that would be
verrrry nice.

Please someone tell me that they use the image compare area in the fx tree
without murdering their co-workers, using Shake, or wishing hexes and curses on
everyone who ever crossed their path.

   I need re-assuring...
