Texture maps - images only?

I would think it unlikely, Adam. It's easy enough to get image information
but the procedural stuff comes out at render time, not before.

Hi,

I'd like to control the Rate of Particle Emission using a Procedural
texture.

It seems that you can only use a Bitmap Image as a Texture Map Property
which seems very limiting.

Is there a way around this?

thanks,

Adam.
