Plasma is, essentially, a subset of max. max5/6 can export to .w3d just like
plasma. In fact, they use the identical exporter. And with various plugins
max can export just as easily to flash. It really depends on what you need -
max is a lot more expensive for a reason - it's a lot more robust and you
can do _a lot_ more with it. If you want strickly a web 3d package then
plasma might be fine. If you might eventually like to do high-end 3D, or use
character studio, then you can't beat max.
