Hi folks,

Here's an entry for a Web 3D competition that we put together over Chrimbo.

http://www.candointeractive.com/web3d-fr

It looks simple, but uses some quite complex Lingo coding for some parts
of the 3D demo.  At least this compo is completely real-time 3D, not
like the Big 3D competition ( our entry at
http://www.candomultimedia.com/thebig3d didn't get very far. Most of the
winners were pre-rendered Flash entries, which was quite strange as the
main sponsor was the developer of a Flash tool )

( http://www.web3d-fr.com/Concours/2003/participants.php to see all of
the entries )

This might be OT, but would Macromedia be interested in sponsoring
something like this along with a few other companies in order to help
promote Shockwave 3D content?  Also, what websites do you Web 3D guys
check out regularly?  There doesn't seem to be a lot of resources
catering for this at the mo ( unless you're VRML, Cortona, Atmosphere
etc, which is a sort of different market )

Anyone want to post some URL's?

Here are a few I check out...

web3d.about.com
www.web3d-fr.com
www.web3d.org
www.web3dart.org

Erm... that's about it, and some of these aren't too relevant to Web
3D.  Are there any mailing lists covering Web 3D?

Mal
