We wrote a compositor plugin for zpic normalization

We wrote a compositor plugin for zpic normalization

Hi All!
Just for kicks,  my intern Casey and I did a UFO project.  Actually, I
just told him to do it, and he actually wrote it.

It's a Zpic normalizer and converter, so you can use Zpics  or convert
them to 8 bits or whatever you want to do with them, it works on
sequences, and is just a node in the Compositor.
One caveat, it normalizes the range of zpic values for each frame based
on the min and max value it finds, which could change over a period of
frames,  if the camera or objects were moving.

So, here it is as an attachment,  or if that doesn't make it through,
you can get it here:

http://www.mesmer.com/public/pubdownload.php?in=312

it's free, do with it what you want.  it's Linux only, 'cause that's
what we compile on.  if you want Windows, write your own.

Here's his description and install instructions:

Zpic Remap Plugin
Author: Casey Wescott

Description:
The "Mesmer Zpic Remap" plugin takes as input a zpic or a sequence of
zpics, and normalizes
them. A slider allows scaling of the zpic according to user needs.

Installation:
to install plugin (Linux only), simply place the file "zpic.so" in the
following directory:

[install dir]/XSI_4.0/Application/fx/ufos

Launch XSI and the plugin "Mesmer Zpic Remap" will appear in XSI's
compositor plugins menu
in directory "Plugins[U]".
