The Dev Team works CONSTANTLY on solving the bugs and problems. But it's a
complex and complicated task which takes time.
So the best beeing patient and give them as much feedback as possible.
That's the goal to a near to be perfect running software.

Ok a script will fix this. Cool. Is there also a workaround for RBD actual
shape not working and all other problems I've listed (and other not listed)?
:-)

Just kidding of course, I don't want to make useless criticism, but I'm very
disappointed, trying to find out workarounds for 100 - 150 crashes (average
number of crashes for the whole team) everyday day is a bit frustrating.

What I would really like to know is if there's a bugfix release in progress,
the bugs that will be fixed (and the bugs that wont be fixed) and WHEN this
will be released.

Thanks a lot.

Ciao,
Michele

We’ve been through the AE loosing settings problem too, but it’s very very
simple to work around.

Set your “on new scene” and  ”on scene load” scripts to that they set your
AE preferences to your usual standards and you will never notice the problem
anymore.

I too share your pain and I can only assume that the folks at Soft HQ are
hard at work fixing these bugs.  I also noticed that sometimes, in the AE, I
get stuck in a mode like panning or zooming....very strange.  The RBD
situation is a disaster.  Very bad for us considering that we are ramping up
for perfect project to use actual shape RBDs.  The lag in the TE when using
the Wacom pen needs to be addressed ASAP as well.

Hi people,

I've just found some problems in AE (Xsi v4.0):

1 - AE's Preferences get lost very often
Repro steps:
- Open a scene with some animation clips in the mixer.
- Select a clip.
- Hit 0 to load AE for the selected clip and open AE > View > Preferences.
- Change preferences, uncheck "slopes on unselected curves" inside View Tab
for example.
- Press Ctrl + T in the mixer, that will display a PPG with Clip's time
control. (Don't close AE and TimeControl PPG)
- Select another Clip in the mixer and ... voilà, the changes in preferences
get reset as their default values.

2 - in v4.0 AE has "edit > snap to grid" option enabled by default... I know
this can't be defined as a bug but it's very annoying.

I hope that someone from support is reading.... and these are only some
SMALL v4.0 bugs.

The buglist is endless... RBD actual shape not working AT ALL, capture
codecs crashing, mixer saves corrupted scene files in certain situations
(you will never be able to open such scenes again), corrupted mixer
audiotracks in scenes loading from v3.5 and many others, everything using
certified v4.0 specific drivers.

Anyone from Soft could please tell us if a bugfix release is planned? We're
switching back 10 people to v3.5 in production. Weird.

Regards,
Michele
