Hello,

I'm running the same; GF 5700 FX with 56.72 drivers. I know these cards
aren't officially supported so I guess there's not much can be done :¬(

Yeah, 3.5.1 is rock solid here too, though I do still get the crash when
browsing to and loading a new texture, which is becoming VERY annoying.

My boss will laugh in my face though if I tell him I want a Quadro ;¬D

Jeff, what graphics card are you running? Seems that xsi4 is prone to
crashing more often when running a "cheaper" game card. I'm running a
Geforce FX5700 card, rock solid in v3.5 but seems dodgy in v4.
Just curious.

Yeah, I get the crash on codec selection, but this seemed to be saved with
the scene I was using. Odd. Had to revert to an older scene. :¬(

I also, get a crash 5 times out of 10 when opening the rotoscope options
ppg. Same goes for opening a texture ppg and loading a fresh texture. Very
strange.

Hi list,

is anyone else noticing alot of crashes in v4 when trying to adjust the
codec settings when doing a capture in the view port? Happening here on a
number of machines... also I remember reading that xsi now logs crash info
to a file that you can then e-mail to softimage. Any body know what this
feature ( if indeed it is one)  is call and how I might be able to switch it
on/use it?

Also I can no longer edit my preferences from the File>preferences
command... it opens a preference explorer but says "There are no nodes to
show in this view" . Is the preference explorer somehow linked to settings
in the xsi explorer or scene explorer? I can still edit my preferences from
an xsi explorer so I'm not really stuck but still... weird!
