Back Cheers Guys, the tool in the Netview is the one I was looking for.
Thanks

Aaargh! No! It's not "cool"! Fonzy in a leather jacket riding his motorbike is cool. Software is not "cool"! It can be many things but "cool" is definitely not one of them... If you go to Netview, there is a tool called Rename. It uses regular expressions to allow you to do search and replace.
I use it quite a bit within rigs - it's cool

Hi Jamie,
There is a script about called Rename Chain and it does a similar job. You rename a branch and it propagates all the way down.

Hi List,
Just a quickie this one, what workflow do people use when re-naming a fair-sized hirachie, eg when you duplicate a hand rig, to rename all the bones L_Little_Finger_Bone1to R_Little_Finger_Bone1. Is there a find and replace tool I have not found, or are we all just patiently renaming each one individually?
Cheers
Jamie McDonnell
