There is a radical difference between the OBJ exporter of version 3.5
and the version 4.0.
It is a very common practice to export OBJs to Zbrush and Deep Paint.

I am trying to RTFM about how to work with objects (models) of multi
resolution so the animators can work with low res and when they are
ready.. i can swap in the high res ones...
but i don 't kStarted a bulldog model this morning and running into a weird issue in
v4.0. Every time I hit ctrl+d to duplicate a poly selection...it creates

Emailed them concerning an XSI version but still haven 't received any
aI was convinced that instances on particles would by default always face the
camera. I appear to be wrong. Not only that but after a couple of hours
going round in circles i 'm now convinced that insHow do you motion blur a frozen particle cloud? I understand that for moving particles they have to be cached but what about frozen/mute clouds?
I 'm flying a camera through 'dust ' particles and Does anyone have a quick way of displacing geometry in a viewport?
I tried to get Helge 's subdivid displace script to work but that was a
negative on the displace part. It seems that it might be Hi all
Trying to render front and backfaces for an object separate with the new
wireframe engine in v4 but it seems you can 't do this.
Any1 has some workaround for this besides the shaderrouteRE particle bluri tried turning motion blur on with instanced particles but i did not got any motion blur on the instances.
is this a limitation of 4.0? is it fixed in 4.2?

I ' tried the whole night to download the "setup_XSI_4.2_MSWin32.exe " file

We 've got a project coming up that would greatly benefit from the use of joystick interaction within XSI. Has a USB joystick device driver ever been written for the program? Has anyone aI think i got confused and thought that the Character Development Kit
referred to the advanced rigs and guides (i.e. the big greyed out character
button) and would now be available in foundations. AI 'm trying to get the DT Simbiont to work in XSI and I followed the instructions on this post
