I have heard that there is a way to actually use a shader ball in XSI
for previewing shaders.
Anybody know how to do this?

Just wondered what the legal state of the particle system is. Is it still
partly considered Phoenix property? Especially when it comes to the .ptp
particle file format. The engine itself isn 't afterIs this a hidden Duplicate option I am missing or a major bug?

I 'd like to ask a question. In 3.5 I can easily create a matte object
by disconnect shader from surface input
of material node. It 's really useful. But in 4.0 I can 't do matte
object in Hi
has anyone seen the equivalent of the old Softimage MergeGeometry function
which used to take a curve and project it into the surface of a polygon.
A bit like shrinkwrapping except the the Hi
I want to apply some Ink only on the skin of my character and not the suit

Here is the render tree and the render region result
www.vol2nuI 'm deforming a particle stream with a lattice but when I apply motion
blur the blur is in the direction the particles were traveling before
deformed by the lattice. ie. the particles are created hi all.
on my old machine i installed activeperl to be able to script in perl in
xsi i simply installed it and from there it became availabe automatically
in the preferences / scripting drop dOk this has got me totally stumped so maybe someone can spot whats going on.

I 've been toying with the IK/FK blend slider when animating an arm. It works fine until I break the joint to make the arm swing
back on itself using FK then try and plend this with I have had my fair share of problems and it wasn 't half as complex
(character struggling in it) as what you are trying to do.

finally underway can 't wait til it gets in -)
Before I start installing 4 I was wondering if there 's specific pis there any way to always have the pivot at the center of the
selection no matter where the object is created?

Just struggling trying to get the old Particles_AttachObject.spdl to work at
anything other than a complete snails pace in 4.0.
Instancing in particle doesn 't seem to want to keep the anhi everyone.
Is there a way to define different set of .ray3host ( one for Render region one for xsibatch for exemple ) ?

Anyone seen this? I have a Fx Tree. Last friday everthing worked fine. But
today there is no way I can view the tree beyond the input clip nodes! I
mean that I can view the clip node but slight confusion over which one to use from the nivdia website. for win2k
should i be using 53.03 or 56.72. Also for thoses of you who use quadro
