I am looking for advice about creating a convincing aggressive chain whip animation.
I was asked to find a way to simulate it as it would probably look more realistic than if an animator handI can only apologise for this but I have to get this off my
chest........ again.......
For the love of god is there any hope/word/prayer that we might have
metaballs in the future?.... It 's kiJust bought a new Opteron system and would like to try Linux on it with XSI.
I would like some advice on what flavour of Linux I should install.

good idea. It pretty much broke Python scripting in xsi in a fairly
unpredictable sort of way. 2.4 is good.

being 22 meg.
I dug around in the Explorer and found a VERY long list in Layers and Passes

I have a quite heavy scene and the displacement is the same in the
entire scene. I use an override on the partition to drive the
displacement just throwing this out to the shader wranglers among us....
would it be difficult to rework Dirtmap to 'highlight ' 'outside ' edges as
opposed to inside ones?
could be really useful to blend thturn on mental ray verbosity and look for the line with wallclock in it.
