Are there any Carrara users in Connecticut (USA)?
It would be nice to start a local user group.

I know that details on Carrara 4 are a bit rare on the moment but I
was wondering if we are able to assign hotkeys to the various
modelling aspects of Carrara 4?

If you happen to be in the NYC area on September 25 the Pixel Corps is
having a local meeting and I usually have my HDR rig with me and HDR 's
are often a subject of discussion.
YourI tried following the Mesmer tutorial you posted below and could only
keep up to step 1 376... Could you please add an extra keyframe between
that step and the next so I can finish it?

web sites. Paul Debevec 's is most known
http //www.debevec.org/
There you will also find HDRSHOP which is used to convert fromHi Bob
Please provide more details for C4 soon. I think me and several other folks are waiting for
this info before we decide to upgrade or not.

Hi Bob
Why is Eovia not sending a beta for everyone who preorders C4? It seemed like a good
thing for the C3 release. You would be able to get a lot of testers that way.

Hi Bob
I noticed in the screenshots for the C4 editor it appears that the fog and rainbow controls
are missing. Have those features been removed?
-Steven
I know this is off topic and I apologise in advance.
There has been a lot of talk here about people using XSI Foundation.

No Carrara 4 will not support any flavor of OS 9. It will require

Do you know if we will be able to do water in C4 like oceans
lakes etc.
Like in Bryce OR Vue?
Thanks!

as an addition
I see the IK stuff - but the weight mapping is a huge pain and you
cant load or save custom weightmaps.
I really really was looking forward to seeing some improvements in
thI agree also the choice of two versions can help the newbie person to learn the ropes in the standard version before jumping into the deep waters.

WHEN will C4 beta testers be able to talk to us about their
experiences with the new features and modifications?

If you look at our wish lists by having two version this is a way
to try to fullfill everyones needs. Some people are into more
advance stuff than others.
Hi everyone
Has this issue been addressed in C4 - it is very tedious to do in
C3. I see no mention of it being improved anywhere.
thanks Robin
Does anyone remember the URL of (I think) the Japanese developer who
was making something that converted mesh objects (and particles) to
metaballs? It was only mentioned last week or so. He had saNo mention of the Network Rendering (which assuming it works is an
awesome feature!)
