any information regarding it.

The Sky Light settings are not for the faint-of-computer hardware.(Turning it off will
speed things considerably)
Enjoy.

Here is a link to a Carrara file I set up which gives you the equivalent of a photo studio
softbox. (For lighting things soft and diffused.)

spoons on it a soupspoon and a regular spoon. (2nd CD that comes with

Thanks for your reply.
In the manual of Carrara 3 it states on page 411 second column at
the end "If the image file has an alpha channel associated with it
you can use that infI 've been trying to light large objects evenly and softly.
I have mixed success with playing with a combination of spot lights / sky lights / indirect
light.I need the directionality of the spots bI created a tif image sequence which contains an alpha channel per
tif. I checked it in a paint program. The background is transparant.
However when I import the picture as a shader in Carrara 3 I am noticing the same thing that Mark describes. The particle
shader function is shading the particles at the moment they are
EMITTED rather than having the shading of the individual particles

the Distance G-Buffer. Anyone know why it 's mentioned in the
manual and not available in Carrara3?
It seems to be impossiblis there any way to make an object appear in the timeline a few frames
into the animation? for instance frames 1-10 would be empty keyframes
then frame 11 would be keyframe 1- the object appears. When you use the modifiers and in particular the one called punch it
always appear in one side of the object is there anyway to apply
the "punch " to other sides of the same object? Or do I have It must have been the "s " then. However I did get a query from
Google and Dogpile if I was looking for "Zoomorphic ". One would think
that adding an "s " at the end of the word would be another opThanks Neil for sharing your rendering info. That 's another bit of
helpful data I can add to my list when doing comparisons.
Cheers.

So if you keep your texture map size down to where you you need it

render panel has no option for Pixel Color.... I seem to
