I half-agree with you. Animation is the biggest weakness in Carrara
right now but I definately would welcome improvements in the modelI heard that Amapi 5 is included on the Carrara CD. Does this
version have the XP bug fixed. (I got it free on a mag ages ago and
the numeric text areas were always white.

Hello Folks
I am very curious abut this
How many of you use C3 and Amapi tigether on a regular basis
and WHY?
Amapi is a great software package but
wouldn 't it be nice if Carrara 4 would iMmmm.I tend to do my main modelling in Curvy 3D and tweak the model
in 3rd party software so That was one of the things That was outting
me off with A M. There is no real option to use external moRoom morning works for me!

I like your window drapes effect and the wall mirror object that gives
the room a more open feel. And the Candleman 's dilemma of being stuNo C2 won 't open native C3 (.car) files. But you could export the
model as an obj and open it that way.

To unsubscribe send a messI 've been working on the animation side of it some
more and intergrating my Candleman with his
environment. Its not the best quality but you can see
how things are going. I 'd suggest viewing at 5You could do it in Carrara by making one letter at a time then
rotating each letter (and moving it) as needed. You could put a
temporary cylinder in the scene on it 's side and lined up where yoOh yeah.. I forgot I have to enable it twice...

A lot of us to use a Carrara in paying work. Carrara is easy to learn
cheap and quite powerful. Most of our clients do not care how we
produce the image anYes I understand your dilemma because not all graphics programs
output AI or EPS files as "true " vectors that Carrara can read. I have
found this to be the case with Paint Shop Pro a program that Text in a circle no Adobe products needed
This is rough but it will put a line of text in a circle.
I assume that you want the text to be in circle (using a globe)

Thanks for the tip about the "align distribute " command.
Currently I have the control I want and the look I want with the
method I have been using it is just that it is painstakinHeh. A M animates a lot better than Carrara. Carrara is fantastic for
stills and has a nicer native procedural texture generator.
A M mutates upgrading constantly which can be confusing as featThanks Harvey!

Hi - and thanks Andrew thanks Doug - your tips are useful.
The 5000% surface fidelity and a bigger rendering format makes a lot
of difficult renderings smoother.

It doesn 't require any conspiracies.
You can view any functioning softwI 'm running Carrara ver 2.1.0.6 on a Mac G4 OS X 10.3.2 (Panther).
When I rendered a

the question is
are graphic software companies deliberately holding featurres out
when they release a new version of their softTechnically you can make the outline without a texture map but it 's
probably not worth the effort. You can do this
In the spline modeler give the sign a very tiny extrusion and use

If I draw some bezier-curves in the spline modeller I can see the
correct curve and its points but theI 'm trying to shade the edges of a spline object. Is there an easy way
of doing this cause I 'm not finding it. My object is a road sign
which is white and I need to put a black edge around it.Looks like your shader needs tweaking and/or maybe use a different
HDRI map (yours looks like a night shot). I 'd probably create a lot
of these parts in one piece with curved edges and then use shOk first off I 'm a complete newbie when it comes to modeling. I have
rendered and set scenes for years but actually modeling is something I
just started.
