I had a nice little file and all of the sudden its 17 mb 's... It didn 't seem like I added all that muAppearently if I save a file to Vet-WebXport in Carrara 3 it works
fine on my hard drive but not on a web page. The image is
watermarked with Viewpoint and the other bitmaps don 't show up. I

Two questions
1) What is the "orient normals " feature supposed to do in this
example? I am still learning AThere are several ways to do it and I 'm sure David will tell you his.
What I do is simple I create my scene as I like it then copy the
original file and begin working on a duplicate.

Well i had a go at this .. IE making a soccer ball model in Carrara 3 but I
had a problem making a texture map from it..
I tryed using the UV mapper that is come with C3.. but for some reason vithat tutorial used to be here http //www.hcstudios.com/temp/gargoyle.zip but
it looks like they 've taken it down. I 've got a copy that I could share if
nobody objects too strenuously.

for building a gargoyle using I think the Vertex Modeler. Does anyone know where that

Those bogus settings in the render properties were indeed the
problem...
I used C2 for a couple of years & never encountered that before...

I didn 't think the level of burning interest in making aAny tutorials or advice on how to create a bag? I 'm thinking of

have is with the free flowing folds and depressions that a poly baCS3 will only import AI version 8 files. I have Illustrator CS and
have to convert all my 2d images to AI Legacy ver 8 files when I
export them.
I do have to tweak them a bit ie make sure the oI 've been dabbling and running into walls with Carrara and

when my C3 renders a scene...
it will render the scene as usual
but more often than not it will continue to draw those "yellow
patches " over the finished render as though it were redrawingTwo key reasons I can think of straight away.

I don 't remember if this was posted here but thought it would be worth
it... Although it 's for Amapi I found this to be a great tutorial for
learning to mesh model a head. DefinitelyHi
I don 't see what your speaking to maybe I 'm looking in the wrong
place.
In Carrara I went to file > preferences and looked at every category
including general OpenGL and Vertex ModelerAnyone know if there are any groups for Carrara 3D Basics and beginners?
