THi
I 'd appreciate any help in this. On page 222 of the Carrara 3 manual
it says you can use an image as backdrop in vertex modeler. I
followed instructions and went to Global in Properties tHi Glen
Thanks for the reply. As I said Ive got 3 images to post 2 are
small clips of the the main image. I 've managed to get the main
image down to below the 150k "full resolution " limit.Hi Peops
This is completely off-topic but at this this community responds to
questions.
I 'm trying to upload some artwork to a CG site and they need an 8k
(100x100 pixel) thumbnail and a 20Thanks for your quick reply Andrew. I also found this earlier post stating this isn 't possible

As we speak I 'm rendering someI 'm experimenting with particles to represent blood cells flowing though a blood vessel. I
need the particles to bounce off the sides and stay within the artery -- not fly through it.
As far as Yeah really.
Funny 'cause I 'm looking for a plug-in that lets make millions of dollars
whenever I want. Real ones.

I was getting a little silly the other night and downloaded the "krell " font that has been around the web for 5 or 6 years now I suppose but Carrara doesn 't seem to "see " it...I know I instThanks so much it 's not that I have to have all these things Carrara does alot more than I can at present. I am simply learning its "rules ". It 's almost like learning how to play chess all over agaiHello Steve
As far as I know the Spline Editor only accepts *.AI or *.EPS files
(vector-based files that is). However if you want a terrain relief
you need to use the Terrain Editor. And Hi
I used steps similar to this Wings3D tutorial

Since Eric has so brilliantly solved the shade multi objects problem
let me lay another related problem in front of the assembled experts....
As many of you know (from one rant of mine or anothHi folks
Yesterday after the thread about this problem on the Carrara list and on
some of the other forums it occurred to me that I wrote all the code needed
to apply a shader to a bunch of oHi -
If a deformer or modifier of some sort is used is there some way to get the
result to become "actual " geometry so that it can be modified in vertex?
thx

PS Yahoo heroically sI am looking for a tutorial on how to create a soccer ball with
stitches not just with the use of a bump map etc. However if there
is only a tutorial using this method that is okay. I am tryinAndrew
Remember that the images (figures) are included on the CD as well (just like
3dXtract). They are larger as well so you can get a clearer picture. As you
read. That was a nice surprise for Not that it 's really stopping me from working but (having lost track of the
axes discussion of a short while ago) I 'm convinced that the x-axis is
reversed and that the whole axis is off 90 degreeOkay it is a very straightforward image but this is my first real
time using this plug-in. I don 't know if it looks more like one of
those fuzzy seed pods or a curled up hedgehog but I know I amlol...
I haven 't been following this thread but whatever the heck you 're talking
about is really funny for some reason.. sounds like the hokey pokey... I
think it 's that "lef pull-out tab " line.Hi Harvey (Hey Naomi)
Well I found it! It is hidden within a *series* of features but
first you have to have your video card *performance* rating set at the
THIRD OR FOURTH NOTCH (found in tThe 3D Xtract Forum looks interesting but now there is 3 forums
(3dXtract Yahoo groups 3D commune). Thats enough.....I hope
there is no more in the future.

week however I would love to see the weighting of vertices and
cloth dynamics added in the next version. I 'm sure a height map Hi -
I just wanted to suggest that when setting Depth of Field it would be
awfully helpful to be able to select/deselect other rendering features for
the sake of speed...
