Basically I 'm trying to apply a Carrara-generated gradient (as opposed to
an imported bitmap) to an object I have no idea how to get this to work...
I don 't know why another shader chanWhy is it that when I am using the UV mapper it appears to distort the
Shapes I am to export for mapping. For instances say I 'm working with a
long Cylinder and wish to export it for mapping. WhenO.K. the C3 manual briefly covers HDRI maps but doesn 't mention how to create them
and certainly doesn 't go into any depth about how to use them.
It seems that a major new feature would warrant Thanks Tony
I played with the vertex modeler a little the other day and I really like the dynamic
extrusion. Very sweet.
What I 'd really like is a live freeform modeler like the FREEWARE ClaySI 'll second this... I like Tree Druid trees and I wish there was an
update for it.

well that 's what they are anyway.
Three diamonds modelled by me. Carrara 3 render.

From info@(protected) [mailHi Mike
I 'm actually a newbie to the 3D world so I have been researching
tutorials online for Carrara as well as AMAPI for quite some time now.
Here are some links that I have found useful andhttp //www.eovia.com/home.jsp
Going there brings up the deal where if you upgrade to C3 you can get
Painter at a special price. But that 's probably not what you 're looking
for? Sorry I can 'tIs it worth buying tree druid now that C3 has the capablitiy to grow
trees/plants?
Thanks

way). what i have seen so far i like very much.
just wondering what is available on the web in terms of tutorialHi All
I am a newbie to Carrara Studio 3 (as well as 3D Gfx) and this is my
first post to the list so your patience is most appreciated ) .

Hello all!
This is my most recent project. It 's an MOA (Mechanism of Action) for a
client at my day job. It was originally done for DVD aALRIGHT!!
I am so glad to see the Shader Gel plugin! Something I 've been
wanting for awhile may just be time to place an order with DCG. Keep
up the great work!

please please do a STEP-BY-STEP toutorial on how to

importing an image/drawing/scrHi folks
Today we are introducing a new package of Carrara plug-ins ShaderGel
and Strobe.
Now leverage the power of Carrara 's shaders with your lights! ShaderGel
lets you use proceduraMy only concern with that is that it may get too big for me to
download on my slow dialup connection at home. I 'll have to borrow
someones high speed connection just to read it.

You could try using Carrara 3 's uv editor to map the octahedron then
export map paint edges black and polygons white.. Then use this new black
& white map in the transparency and coHow about the spiral preset in the spline modeller?

I 've seen some 3D programs where you get a node/schematic view and
can use that to run/flow one shader into another etc. I think this
can be cumbersome if it 's the only way tI am trying to "wrap " a flat ribbon around a pole (think maypole). Of
course the end should go outward away from the pole. That is the least
of my problems. LOL I 'm trying to do it in the vertGood work. That is a nice visual aid.
